Description:
Hudson Bay 6 Point blanket. This is a beautiful 6 point Hudson's Bay Blanket in the traditional Cream with malty stripe, Red, Green, Yellow and Indigo. This is the most often seen color combination, but still rare as a six point blanket and that makes it a most desirable collectable. This point blanket measuring 6 points size 89" wide and 92" long. That measurement indicates this blanket was never wash and that is a good thing. I also believe it has never been dry cleaned. The sewn on label is shown. According to Tichenor's The Collector's Guide to Point Blankets this label dates to the early 1940's. This blanket is in excellent condition. There are no rips, tears holes stains or smells. They do have a few dust smudges, that could be hand cleaned. (See the photos) Raw edged at top and bottom as all Hudson Bay blankets. The VINTAGE HUDSON BAY 6 POINT WOOL BLANKET label is in perfect condition. Has the stripes at either end and the 6 trader point marks. A piece of history - perfect for your bed, cabin or camp. This blanket weighs about 7.65 pounds and is really nice!
