Description:
For your consideration, I offer one fine example of the legendary Browning Hi-Power from the peak of production in the late sixties/early seventies. This is a T-series, numbers matching Hi Power but was produced after the US import SN cutoff of 261XXX. As such, I believe it was made for the European market and likely produced in '70-'71 (the 261 guns were produced in '69). The original manufacturers mark was removed and replaced with "BELGIUM HI-POWER CAL. 9x19 C.A.I. GEORGIA, VT" on the right of the frame at the time of import. Other markings include serial number of "T307411" on the frame, slide, and barrel all on the left side and "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GEURRE-HERSTAL-BELGIQUE" on top left side of slide and "BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE" underneath. Finish appears to be parkerized and covers many imperfections underneath. Pistol features a lanyard loop on bottom left of grip and grip panels are black. Includes one 13 rd mag and I do not know whether original to gun or not but is definitely older.
