For your consideration, we offer one fine example of one of the rarest Glock production models ever made; a ported Glock 22C with curved side serrations and the rtf2 grip texture. If you're in the know with Glocks, then you know how elusive this model is. Glockhistory estimated total production of this model at less than 200 guns. As with most of them, this one was actually a police issue weapon so it shows holster wear and also has a mark on the left side of the grip. The last like new sale for this model ed for $4,000 so we are offering this used model at less than half the price! Being a trade in weapon, it did not come with original accessories, but we will include a blue label clamshell case and period correct mags, loader, cleaning tools, and manual.
To offer some insight on these guns for those unaware, the RTF2 texture was a limited production offering between 2009 and 2011 just prior to release of the 4th generation. The texture features over 4,000 tiny pyramids that make it aggressively "grippy." They were mostly marketed to police departments and after some extended use, there were too many complaints of the texture being abbrasive as well as the serrations being cut backwards. The introduction of the Gen 4 made this model redundant and production ceased. As with most collectibles, the least popular models become highly sought after years later as collectors hunt for the rare models. Not only were the RTF2s short lived, the number of ported versions was much less so. Only the 22 and 23 were ported with the 22 version being much more limited. It is, without a doubt, one of the shortest run models Glock has ever produced.
