Payment Types Accepted: Credit Card, Certified Check, Money Order Description: Antique COLT NEW POCKET Model .32 Long Colt Caliber Double Action REVOLVER First Double Action Swing Out Cylinder Made by COLT Here we present a Colt New Pocket Model Double Action Revolver, made in 1895 by the Colt Manufacturing Company with a production run from 1893 through 1905 in Hartford, Connecticut. The New Pocket followed the introduction of Colt's first large frame Double Action revolvers known as the Model 1889 Navy and Model 1892 New Army and Navy. These were the first Colts with a swing-out cylinder, with most of these early revolvers going to the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army and is a design concept that is still found today on all modern day double action revolvers. This revolver was available in both .32 Long Colt and .32 S&W. It holds 6 shots and was offered in barrel lengths of 2-1/2”, 3-1/2”, 5”, and 6”. The frame is stamped “Colt’s New Pocket” and was available in either a blued or nickel plated finish. The grips are checkered hard rubber with the oval Colt molded into them. There were approximately 30,000 of the little self defense revolvers manufactured during its 12 year production run. This is actually a pretty scarce little revolver, and you don’t see a lot of these that are antique floating around. The barrel has the early address with the 1884 and 1888 patent dates. That's always an important thing to look for on these early New Pockets as many have later production replacement barrels with the later 1900 patent date. The overall condition is fine. Original finish. Matching numbers. The action is excellent. The bore is shiny bright with sharp rifling. The trademarked grips are in fine shape. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 2-1/2 inches. Caliber: .32 Long Colt Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE.
