Simson-Suhl (Thuringen) SxS Shotgun in 12Ga. SN #205610. MADE IN SUHL, GERMANY Post WWII, Built in Merkel Factory for Export, 1960's, LOP 14 5/8" & 13 3/4". Chamber 2 3/4". DAH 3" - DAC 1 3/4". Fixed Chokes Left Side Full (.033) Right Side Imp. Mod. (.025). WE CAN CHANGE THE CHOKES FOR $45.00 PER BARREL. 27 1/2" Solid Ribbed Nitro Marked Barrels with EXCELLENT Bright and Shiny Bores. The Blued / Case Colored Metal and Checkered Pistol Grip Stock and Forend have been FULLY RESTORED by SHOOTER'S EXCHANGE and REALLY LOOK GREAT. Case Colored Engraved Receiver. Extractors. Greener Style Crossbolt. Cocking Indicators. Plastic Buttplate. Sling Swivels. Simson & Co. began building guns and gun barrels around 1856 and continued until 1936 when Hitler's dictatorship forced the Simson Family to flee the country. After the Soviets took over and Merkel & Simson guns built for export starting in the 1960's, and continued until the 70's. This is a Fine Well Built Shotgun. Weight: 6.7 lbs.
