Description:
This is an original Hepburn with factory Double set triggers. It was originally in 40 / 3 1/4" (40-90) and is so marked on the underside of the barrel, forward of the fore end. It was relined into a 40-70 sharps straight. Bore is excellent. This one uses 405 brass that was trimmed down. (I have some available if needed.)
The front sight is a Baldwin with a spirit level. The rear sight base if for a is a John Kelley soule sight with windage adjustments possible. You will have to buy your own sight staff. The buttplate is an original Remington butt plate but it does not match the gun's serial number. Photos are accurate.
