Vickers machine gun spares and toolbox with contents. Spares and tools for the Vickers machine gun. All items in near unused condition. Great addition to a vintage WWII military, gun, or ammo collection. Came with a handwritten letter with history that we have transposed as accurately as we could:
Box that held the spare parts for the Vickers machine gun. The box I gave to Mary. Might have been what was used to protect General Montgomery in WWII. The vehicle was one of eight vehicles that would surround the tank that General Montgomery traveled in the desert. There were several Vickers machine guns mounted on the vehicles to protect money Montgomery From German aircraft.
