Description:
36-1/2 inch barrel chambered in .577 caliber. This was the standard British military long arm at the beginning of the cartridge era. Features 3 clamping barrel bands. Original sights include a long range rear and a blade front. Barrel retains most all of its thinning original blue. Lock and hammer feature muted case colors. Breech has some light pitting probably from poor storage. Proof marks all look crisp. Dark bore that needs a good cleaning. Visible rifling and excellent mechanics. Cleaning rod is present.
