Description:
**This rifle is sold**

This is another from my private collection. It's been sitting around here long enough. Someone needs a great featherweight Savage rifle for their wife or kid. The whole package is built around light weight, fast handling, and accuracy. Carry ths one all day, it's a real featherweight.

Most of the Savage 99F's you'll find have the right hand safety, but this one is ambidextrous, being dead center on the tang, like most shotguns, Ruger 77's, Savage 110's and a bunch of others. This makes the safety intuitive for left handed shooters and those used to other types of firearms, An easy-to-remember safety is inherently safer for new shooters.

The Leupold compact 3-9 saves weight and being a Leupold takes the worry out of scope reliability, having Leupolds lifetime warranty. If you have a problem with a Leupold, they usually just replace it with a newer model, no matter the age or condition of the scope sent in, no questions asked.

In my experience, the 300 Savage cartridge and 99F lightweight rifle are ideally suited for the 130 grain Barnes ttsx bullet loads. Both light recoiling and deep penetrating, the light-for-caliber Barnes bullets make this an ideal big game rifle and load combo for all of North America. A person armed with a Savage 99F in 300 with the Barnes bullet loads is well armed for shooting game at any angle presented, not just the textbook broadside shot. A great advanatage for less than ideal situations and less experienced shooters. If you could choose just one rifle to hunt with, it would be hard to beat this combo.

This rifle is in great shape overall having been carried and used lightly sometime in the last 60 years, but still has tons of condition. It has some minor marks on metal and wood, and an extra waterproofing layer on the wood stocks which is a plus on a rifle designed for use in any weather.

If I were to classify this rifle I'd call it a great condition, shooting rifle in a hard to find combination of features, ready to go (please loctite the screws on the scope rings and mounts before shooting). Nothing to be ashamed of, it's honest and clean.

Shipping is $55, insured, through the USPS to your FFL. Payment is USPS money order ONLY please.
