Description:
This fairly rare, early musket must've seen some serious action. The stock is heavily worn and barrel shows some pitting, especially near the muzzle. Looks like wood filler was used near the butt end and around the lock and wood appears to be varnished. Lock nicely marked, "U. States." In my opinion, these muskets have great historical importance. Shipping and insurance to you is included (lower 48). However, you'll have to return my aluminum hard case at your expense. PLEASE NOTE: I do not recommend firing the antique guns that I sell. If you decide to do so, you do it at your own risk! This includes working the actions (locks, hammers, triggers, etc.) Old guns (pre-1899) have old parts, including old springs and other internals (we are talking about 150+ years old, on average!). These parts can and do break. You are not buying a new gun; this is an antique/collectible and it is catagorized as such for that reason.
