The Tiger Stripe maple wood is aged to a uniform color with no chips, cracks or missing wood other than a crack on the left side of the tang (see photo); however, the stock is solid as a rock. There are dents and dings form 100 years use (see photos). The stock is solid (not loose) and has a brass entrance thimble, 2 brass thimbles, brass trigger guard and crescent butt plate. The brass three piece patch box needs the latch adjusted. The metal finish is a mottled brown patina with some oxidation (see photos). The gun is 56" over all length with a 41" barrel (What I can see of the bore looks dark....I have not cleaned this gun or taken it apart) the ram rod appears to be original to the gun. There is a fixed rear sight and a blade front sight. The trigger and lock function as they should however the lock spring needs to be replaced. The lock is stamped KETLAND & Co. and the top barrel flat is marked "H. TURNER ALBANY" (see photos). The brass butt plate and trigger guard are undamaged (see photos).
