This is a model 1896 Swedish Mauser made at Obendorf in 1900. There were only two years at which Obendorf produced model 96 rifles. This is in the very popular 6.5 X 55 cartridge. All numbers found on the rifle are matching with the exception of the rear sight which most likely went through the upgrade during the ammo change. As seen in the pictures the stock disk reports a number one bore condition. All other data can be seen in that photo. The cleaning rod is in place. The end of the muzzle is threaded as many were. Blueing shows thinning in areas of contact. Bore is bright and shiny as most Swedish Mauser are.
This is a fine specimen for anyone's collection!
