All original and Complete. Only 4,021 Made from 1855 to 1857. The Scarce Carbine has very good metal and markings throughout. It is dated 1856 on the lock and 1855 on the top of the barrel under the sight. This is very common with these pistol carbines. The lock markings show some light natural wear and are all visible. All of the metal has nice edges and an untouched natural darkening patina throughout it. All of the brass hardware on both the pistol and stock is fine with a wonderful untouched matching patina on them. The pistol has VG+ wood and edges. It shows natural light wear from use. There is a visible U.S. Inspectors Cartouche on the backside opposite the lock. The stock has fine wood and edges throughout. When together the pistol and stock both match each other in color and appearance. The pistol has a very good action and bore.
