Serial #416, all matching numbers. All original and complete. Only 640 made 1861-1862. The revolver has fine untouched brass, metal, markings, and edges. It is marked on the top of the frame "BUTTERFIELD'S/PATENT DEC. 11, 1855/PHILADA". The barrel and cylinder have a fine natural plum patina with thinning blue showing through in areas. The lever and hammer show some darkening case colors on them. The brass frame, backstrap, and trigger guard are fine throughout with a wonderful mellow color to them. All of the screws are fine. The original factory wood grips are fine throughout with nice edges and are numbered to the gun. There is a very old & well done period one inch repair in the grip on the upper left side. This old repair blends into the grip nicely.
