Description:
A Scarce U.S. Civil War Secondary Martial Percussion Austin T. Freeman Army Model Revolver In Fine Plus Untouched Condition. Serial #1,350, all matching numbers. All original and complete. Only 2,000 made 1863-1864. Made by Hoard's Armory, watertown, New York. The revolver has fine untouched metal, markings, and edges. It is clearly marked on the top of the frame "FREEMAN'S PAT. DEC. 9, 1862/HOARD'S ARMORY, WATERTOWN, N.Y.". The barrel, frame, and cylinder have lots of original factory blue with some areas thinning to a plum color. The lever and hammer show most of their case colors on them. The backstrap, and trigger guard have an even and natural plum patina on them with hints of original blue in areas. All of the screws are fine with original color. The original factory wood grips are excellent throughout with nice edges and are numbered to the gun. The revolver has an excellent rifled bore and action, This Is A Very High Condition Example Of A Scarce U.S. Civil War Secondary Martial Percussion Austin T. Freeman Army Model Revolver!
