Description:
General Specs: Heckler & Koch, Year 1980, .223 caliber, 10.1oz
Serial Number: A124474

A cool piece of military and political history, this HK 93 was imported into the USA before the 1986 import ban making this gun one of approximately 20,000 available ever and no import stamps! This example can only be described as factory original with some handling marks, it shows signs of very lite use but lots of care. It has a bright mirror bore and is equipped with a removable bipod and an original Stanag scope mount. The rifle is supplied with two 30 round magazines and one 20 round factory camouflaged magazine, itself a rarity. The HK93 was, for the most part, identical in appearance to the HK33 and HK43 both of which are derived from the equally famous G3, the difference being the latter is chambered for the .308/ 7.62 NATO round, this rifle is chambered in .223. Heavy by modern standards yet extremely rugged the rifle operates using a roller-locked recoil-driven action, a descendent of that used on the fast-cycling MG42 of World War Two. The action consists of a pair of roller bearings that cam into recesses in the breech when the bolt is fully forward.  On firing these bearings retard the movement of the bolt long enough to allow chamber pressures to drop to a safe level before camming open and starting the ejection cycle. A fluted chamber aids in positive extraction giving this rifle its sterling reputation for reliability. From the removable stock at the comfort end terminating at the business end with a flash suppressor with integrated wire cutting notch this rifle is notable for its excellent condition.  Add it to the Cold War section of your armory ASAP, it won't be on our gun rack for long, good luck.
