Marlin Golden 39-A 22 caliber (short, long and long rifle) lever action rifle stamped JM for John Marlin. This Marlin was made at the Marlin Firearms Company, New Haven Conn, USA and is an original Marlin stamped JM not the newer model made by Remington and Ruger. The rifle has a 23.5 inch Micro Groove barrel. There are a few handling marks on the wood and some pitting on the right side of the receiver and lever which can be seen in the photos. Other than that it is a very hansome solid rifle ready to be used in the squirrel woods of plinking on cans. The Y Serial number indicates a 1964 date of manufacturer.
