Description:
Well over 1,000,000 of these rifles were made between 1867-1888 in myriad calibers for nations worldwide. These rifles saw limited, unofficial, service in the U.S. Army and was commonly seen in the hands of both sides of the Indian Wars of the 1870s and 1880s. .50-70 Government

Metal Condition: "Fair-Good, The vast majority of the finish has turned to a brown patina. There is scattered, shallow pitting across the rifle. The screws on the left side of the receiver have become damaged over the years.
Wood Condition: "Good, The wood has become dark with age. It seems to be original and unrefinished, may have been replaced over the years. Free of cracks but many smaller marks are present.
Bore Condition: "Good, The rifling is still present and in reasonable shape. The bore is shiny and free of major obstructions. There seems to possibly be some small pits in the barrel.
