Here's a true survivor! First Repeating Rifle used in the Civil War! Winchester Henry Rifle serial number 1301 . Nice early 1st Model. On the frame there's Period Correct Punch Dot Engraving ! The Name J. W. Irwin is engraved on one side of frame . Condition is unbelievable! Barrel has most all of its original finish turning a nice mellow plum patina . Markings still sharp . Gun has original sights . Bore is excellent condition . Barrel loading mechanism is working properly ! Overall the barrel is in excellent condition . The Frame has a Wonderful Patina ! Untouched! Corners are very sharp . The screws heads are in Excellent condition. Frame is functioning properly . Lever action is working well ! The original Walnut Stock is in excellent condition ! Looks like there's been some linseed oil added to the wood and light sanding. With some wear and tear , scars and mars but overall in Very good condition. Butt plate has a nice untouched patina also to match frame . Screws are excellent. And trapdoor working properly ! This is a Above Average 1st. Model Henry Rifle. This is Collector Grade .
