Description:
Early antique serial number 6656. 26 inch octagon barrel chambered in 38-55 caliber with a full length mag tube. A good bore with visible rifling and shine that would benefit from a good cleaning. Sights include buckhorn rear and a Lyman ivory bead front sight. Barrel and mag retain about 60% blue with the receiver have about 50% remaining. Good traces of case color on the hammer and lever. Wood is in excellent condition with 75% original varnish with just a few light minor mars. Complete with a rifle style buttplate. Good mechanics. Comes complete with a Factory Letter stating that it was made in 1895.
