S O L D ............S & W...AVAILABLE....LAYAWAY?... Smith & Wesson No. 2 (ARMY) Revolver...CIVIL WAR ERA....LAYAWAY?.....  .32 caliber, 6" octagonal barrel, S/N 24818. This is the type of gun that "Wild Bill" Hickok was carrying the night he was killed, holding "Aces and Eights." General Custer owned a pair, as well. Blued finish with two piece smooth grips. German silver front sight. Barrel marked with one-line Smith and Wesson Springfield address. Cylinder shows patent dates. Six-shot fluted cylinder. *VG-Fine condition overall. Most of the blued finish has taken on a plumb patination with some scattered scratching and scattered light oxidation.  Action is tight and functional with a good bore showing some old pitting and visible edges to rifling.
