Description:
In 1894 Sweden contracted with Germany to produce 12,000 carbines by Waffenfabrik Mauser in Oberndorf am Neckar. They were fabricated with Swedish-supplied high grade tool steel alloyed with nickel, copper & vanadium. This material is noted for its strength and corrosion resistance. The carbine presented here was one of those manufactured in Germany in 1895. It has seen some upgrades over the years with a scope added and what appears as a new wood-stock. Numbers are not matching and a serial number on the receiver is nonresistant. However, the firearm is in great condition and would make a fine shooting example or collector. 6.5x55 Swedish
