Description:
The Remington Sportsman 78 was built for, and market through, K-Mart. It is built on the proven Remington® Model 700® action and has all the quality features needed for serious hunting or informal target shooting. This Sportsman 78 comes with a 700 ADL stock, with cheekpiece and Monte Carlo comb instead of the its original plain hardwood stock. At the heart of the Sportsman 78 is the famous Model 700 action that encloses the cartridge head in 3 rings of steel: the recessed bolt face, the chamber end of the barrel, and the front receiver ring. This design provides inherent strength, while holding the cartridge in precise alignment with the bore for exceptional accuracy. A 2-position safety at the rear of the action is quick to operate.
