The Auto Ordnance Liberty Custom 1911A1 pistol is a 7+1 capacity .45 ACP. This Made in USA semi-automatic looks amazing thanks to a unique brown and black Cerakote finish that gives a fine weathered patina even when brand new. It has a full-size 5.0" barrel, 8.6" overall length and weighs 2.3 pounds. Advancing its Liberty motif are the large "Liberty Death" letters and the original Presidential Seal engraved on the slide's right and on the slide's left flank you'll see (and feel) "Don't Tread" and the Gadsden flag's famous snake. Additionally, Auto Ordnance uses custom Goncalo wood grips. This tigerwood looks great and gives everything a near copper effect. On one side you have the Liberty Bell and on the other "DTOM", as in Don't Tread on Me. Both the Liberty Bell and DTOM are in nice rondels further punctuated by 13 stars representing the original Thirteen Colonies. They grips are full of character, quite beautiful and have the famed large double-diamond screw surrounds. Beyond that, this 1911A1 is superbly classic from its barrel-vaulted slide with a clean front but vertical slide serrations in back to GI sights, finger recesses behind the trigger and timeless proportions. You have a blade sight in front and a dovetailed drift adjustable sight in back. There's a manual thumb safety and slide catch on the left side. Includes the original factory box, manual, and one magazine. .45 ACP
