Description:
Standard 20 inch configuration 2nd Model carbine in the 23,000 serial range. This gun could very well be the nicest 66 carbine I have had. It has beautiful untouched brass that has turned a very dark patina. Good traces of case color on the hammer and lever. Early gun with the brass rifle style buttplate. Original sights. Barrel and mag have a considerable amount of original blue with some dark brown patina. Wood retains most original varnish with just minor handling mars. Original saddle ring. Crisp action and a very good bore with lots of shine and good rifling. A real honest old Winchester made in 1869.
