Description:
L.C. Smith Pre-1913 Grade 5E 12 Gauge SxS Shotgun. Serial Number: 8786. Cal. 12 gauge. 30" barrels, 2-3/4" chambers, IMP/MOD & FULL chokes. Single front brass bead, matted rib marked "MADE TO ORDER BY THE HUNTER ARMS CO FULTON, NY". Gold inlaid rib, highly engraved rib extension. Wedding band engraving at both muzzles. Engraved wedges at barrel breeches. Jeweled barrel flats. Clear barrel steel markings on underside. Beavertail forend with nice engraving on the iron. Automatic ejectors. Grade 5 with nearly full engraving on the receiver. Left and right sideplates have two dogs in hunting scene vignettes in oval with sideplates covered with rosette and scroll. The top and bottom of the receiver are engraved in scroll and rosette engravings. Top lever and trigger bow heavily engraved. Two selective triggers. Knob pistol grip buttstock. Non-automatic safety. Barrels are free of dents and dings. Bores are bright and unpitted. Screws are fine with minor markings. Top lever right of center. An absolutely wonderful high grade Smith gun 12 Gauge
