Description:
A hard to find high condition nickel Colt New Police with original Colt factory pearl grips and in the correct box with Colt letter. The serial number dates the gun to 1904 and the gun remains in high condition, especially for a gun that is 118 years old. The gun is mechanically perfect with an excellent bore and lock up. The action remains tight and without any looseness in the crane and cylinder. The pearl grips remain in excellent condition and without any cracks or chips. The box shows some wear but remains in tact. The Colt New Police preceded the Colt Police Positive and began its production in 1897 with serial number one and was manufactured through 1908 ending at approximately serial number 49,500 with the introduction of the Colt Police Positive. It was this model that Teddy Roosevelt introduced to the New York Police department in 1898 when he was the Police Commissioner. I offer a three day non firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped via FedEx Air with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $55 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information.
