Description:
This is a British D-shaped mess tin from the WWI era. The exterior of the mess tin is in good to very good condition with dents and scratches and remnants of names or writing. The manufacture and date are missing in the front from wear but has all of the earmarks on being built in 1916. The cover of the tin is likewise in very good condition with a build up of oxidation at the seams. The interior of the kit including the wire handle are all heavily oxidized with no original finish left. Great for display.
