Description:
Here is a nice trapdoor carbine, .45-70 of course. All correct with a good cartouche and "P" marked on the wrist. The lock plate may have been replaced as it says 1883 but the breechblock says Model 1873 and the serial number would confirm that. There is a star after the serial number which I think means it took  a trip back to the armory at some point. Action works fine. The 20" barrel has a good bore- nice rifling with some modest roughness. It should shoot just fine. Correct carbine sight. Stock has the usual dings and dents but solid with no missing pieces or cracks.  Just a nice Cavalry carbine that didn't spend its working life in a government warehouse. Ships to your door in most states as it is an antique. Shipping and insurance included in the price via priority mail. NO TEXTS
