Description:
This is a Colt government model 45acp, Mfg in 1926 per colt book, Colt letter says Shipped in 1928 included. Ser # 149871 Professionaly Engraved by JR French in 1967. Scratched into the grip frame under the grip. He is a Master engraver. As you can see a beautiful job of engraving with a border. The finish is sterling silver , There are a few places on the gun that pealed off or flaked off. which are the Bushing, rear of the slide and rear of the frame and hammer, mainspring housing and mag. Probably from shooting this piece . The slide and frame are still intact silver plate. those areas were polished to match the 90% of the original rest.The bottom of the mag not pictured is engraved also. The barrel has a nice bore the mechanics of the piece is excellent. I have shot the piece a number of times ant it functioned perfect. The Ivory grips are exceptionally nice and in great condition with ruby eyes. This piece is a Custom made gun. engraved by a master. and a well taken care of piece . The barrel is unmarked ,The mag is unmarked. The Factory letter is included. A very good looking old Colt .45 Call with any questions Tom 612 859 5673
