Original unsigned Tennessee Mountain Percussion Rifle by Charlie B. Whitaker. This Upper Cumberland Percussion Rifle was made in Putnam County Tennessee by Charlie B. Whitaker, the last of the old time gunsmiths. This was his personal rifle that he used up until his death. It comes with his shooting pouch and powder horn. Barrel is 41 inches, approximately .47 caliber, and 1 one across the flats. LOP is 13 inches. The barrel was rifled on an old rifling jig that originally belonged to Wyatt Atkinson. Rifle comes with original shooting pounch and powder horn that belonged to Mr. Whitaker and accompanied the rifle when I acquired it.
