Selling my unsigned Ron Griffie "Deathwind" School Tennessee / Southern / Appalachin Mountain rifle. I have owned this rifle since July 2009 when I purchased it new. It’s a .45 caliber and has a 42-inch barrel, a Cochran Flintlock, and a long tang. Ron hand forged the iron hardware. It is stocked in a beautiful piece of maple. He was THE wood guy. He referred to this style as the “Death Wind School”. It has never been shot, except by him to sight it in. It is a very light and well-balanced rifle.
Ron Died on 29 Dec 2010. For those of you not familiar with Ron, he was quite a guy and called his company "Deathwind Rifle Works". He built excellent rifles known for their accuracy and unique style. He could make any part he needed and was known for his "pitchfork/Honda hatchback shock rifle" Southern Rifle! He built an excellent Tennessee Rifle! He always had the best stock blanks available, hand picking the wood.
