Description:
Savage Model 1899 chambered in .300 Savage. This hammerless lever action rifle was manufactured by the Savage Arms Company in Utica, New York. The rifle features a unique rotary magazine that allows the use of pointed spitzer bullets. Other lever action rifle was limited to round bullets due to their tubular magazines. Manufactured in 1923. The .300 Savage was the parent case for the .308 Winchester and both rounds have similar performance. .300 Savage
