Price reduced....Another great item from Gainesville Pawn! Up for sale is Colt Banker Special. This is a very neat and scarcely seen gun. This Banker Special was sold to the United States Post Office and was used in the sub unit Railway Mail Service. It was shipped to Springfield Armory and is proofed by the inspector at the time Col. George A. Woody. It is Factory engraved R.M.S. P.O. DEPT. on the backstrap. It also bears the factory engraved Postal service serial number on the butt No. 11791 These are scarcely seen and most of the 20000 bought by the Postal service were destroyed in 1992. This one saw some use while 85 percent of the color remains there is quite a bit of frecking all over. This prewar colt was made in 1931. Very good bore and it functions good with good timing. The Walnut checkered grips with Colt Medallion's are original but show significant wear. Caliber is .38 Colt New Police. *Please be aware that all items are sold “AS IS”.
