It is as follows:
*The superb 100% original untouched 1941 SA Factory
metal finish rates by %: *Receiver shows virtually none of the usually
expected light cycling wear being that unequaled early SA deep, dark
green color that rates easily at 99% with perfect crisp rear markings.
*The Scarce early ‘’Flush Nut’’ variation rear sight assembly remains
totally intact/original rating the same 99%. *Bolt is ‘’2 SA’’ exposed
area rates O/A at 98%. *Op Rod ‘’3 SA’’ exposed area rates 99%.
*Barrel ‘’SA 11-41’’ (exposed area) rates at 99% with un-touched SA
Factory ‘’In The White’’ Chamber even showing machine ‘’feathering’’.
The throat gauges at only a 0.75 (NEW) with Mint Bore! *Center Band is
the early curved milled variation with perfectly factory ‘’Staked
Pin’’ rating 99%! *Gas Cylinder is the very early, 100% Factory
original variation with the fragile Factory original black painted
finish still remarkably rates appx 98% with simply minor thinning BUT
absolutely no cleaning nor ever any touch-up or re-painting and again,
Factory Original Finish.! *Front Sight 100% 1941 Factory original
sight still having its untouched Factory original front sight cap/seal
still totally intact and remarkably also rates at 99%! *FYI Even when
this cap/seal is found intact it is usually dented or scraped up BUT
not this one! The original single slot, solid gas plug is still in
place and excellent and with again Factory Original Finish! *Trigger
Housing ‘’5 SA’’ (exposed area) rates 99%. *Trigger Guard ‘’3-SA’’
early ‘’milled variation rating 99%. *Hammer: ‘’2 SA’’. *Safety: ‘’6
SA’’. Also ANY and ALL internal parts that should correctly be
‘’Factory Bare Metal/In The White’’ are absolutely 100% correct and
indeed 100% original as are ALL the absolutely 100% Factory 1941
original/unequaled parts metal finish thru out that are ALL with out
doubt the finest! *Wood Set the entire Walnut Wood Set is as follows:
The Stock itself other than expected usual handling/storage marks
rates overall at about VG/VG+ with an original/correct still visible
(light/faint) ‘’SA over GHS in BOX’’ followed by the correct/original
LARGE ‘’ORDNANCE WHEEL CROSSED CANNONS’’ Cartouches on its left side above the trigger. *Also on the front of the pistol grip is the very
visible correct/original ‘’CIRCLE P’’ Proof. The rear bottom stock has
the typical chip at its butt plate bottom area only and still has its
100% Original un-touched butt plate that typically shows expected
age/patina, wear and its screws have expected top area wear but still
have excellent slots, but again all original/correct.

NOTE - In regard to the lesser condition stock: Though the stock shows
to be of a lesser condition than everything else and being
changed/switched (later, but at what time? Best guess, all of course
educated speculation, *switched in storage, *with another M1 if it was
in British Service for just a bit, *during ‘’British Proofing’’, when
imported into the USA years ago, simply, all that can be said, at some
point in the rifles past.  Regardless it is indeed 100% correct in all
respects including its totally correct and original
Cartouches/Markings but also importantly it is entirely 100% correct
being the very Early/Scarce ‘’long channel’’ variation! ALL
ABSOLUTELLY 100% CORRECT/ ORIGINAL!
This VG/VG+ rating is ONLY for the Stock itself! *As you can see from all the above EVERYTHING ELSE (EVERYTHING) REMAINS TO THIS DAY 100% Springfield Armory ALL 100% MATCHING and ALL 100% ORIGINAL EXACTLY AS IT LEFT SA on NOVEMBER, 1941 and ALL parts and features, Bore, Action/Mechanically, Etc. RATE AT 99% to MINT, PERIOD! AGAIN, Nothing, not even a single pin or screw was ever changed! *VERY IMPORTANT: *The front hand guard and *Rear hand guard even these are easily seen to remain 100% SA 11-41 Factory correct/original NEVER changed or messed with, both easily rate easily Excellent/Minty in their un-touched wood and even the SA 11-41 metal finish is un-touched rating Mint and 99% original Factory finish and again, totally 100% Factory correct/original PLUS with the rear being 100% correct/original it is of course still the Scarce very early milled and grooved variation rating 98%.
