Description:
This was a conversion from flintlock to percussion by the Mutzig Arsenal. The barrel is about 7 ½” and is a 71 caliber rifled bore. The mechanical function is very good, crisp and tight. The bore is dark and frosted but still shows its rifling. The overall length is 14”. I believe the Mutzig Arsenal gave it a new serial number when they did the conversion. There are numerous stamps on the left wood side above the trigger.
