On Hold Sale Pending Original Antique US Springfield Model 1873 Trapdoor Army Carbine. This is a true original carbine not a cut down rifle. The carbine dark walnut stock is in good condition with initials on the but stock as well as both cartouches which are faint due to wear. The 22 inch carbine barrel has the correct C marked rear sight and front sights present with a fairly good bore. The correct carbine trigger guard, trapdoor but plate and saddle ring and bar are present also. The carbine but plate is marked US and has the initials HJ as well as the But stock.
