Description:
Very intriguining lightweight gun made by George Bate of Eastbourne in Sussex.  Listed as a maker there from 1894 to 1940, this gun exhibits high quality throughout.  Made with splinter forend, double triggers, ejectors, and auto safety.  The gun is nicely engraved with acanthus leaf scroll and makers name in gold on sides as seen in the photos.  This is a Churchill style gun but by a much smaller but respected maker. The gun has checkered side panels and ball grip with original buttplate as seen in the photos.  The gun has great dimensions and the 2 3/4" nitro proofs make it just a dandy!

The gun remains in excellent condition.  Barrels have most of a factory quality rust blue finish, bores are bright and shiny.  Stocks are sound and retain most of an expert restored finish.  Action retains some original case color and trigger plate retains much of its blue.  Mechanics are fine.

This fine and scarce gun is priced at $2750 plus shipping to your FFL.  Please dont hesitate to contact me at (704) 280-2382 or via PM on tthis site with any questions or reasonable offers.
