This is a NIB Brownell's product no longer in production. It is New In the Box. The "Proto" was Armalites very first introduction of the AR in 5.56 for military evaluation. This model features the round handguards and top "trigger" charging handle, which was later moved to the rear of the upper receiver. This is a very nice "Historial Reproduction", as are all the Brownells "Retro" Series, no longer in production.
No scratches, marks or defects of any kind on the rifle. Comes with factory box, all paperwork, manuals, accessories, which will include a steel 25 retro AR magazine. All in excellent, like new condition. These are really fantastic rifles, even if you want to shoot it. I have my "shooter" version of this as well and enjoy the nostalgia of it.
