Description:
The Mossberg Mod. 44 US (B) was manufactured primarily for the civilian market. This specimen is in remarkable condition. Features are 26 in heavy barrel, Mossberg Microclick S-100 rear sight with accompanying front aperture sight and hood. Stock is walnut not birch with metal butt plate and original sling swivels. Original blueing is outstanding. Also accompanying rifle is a leather sling and a new "Havlin" scope mount for installation of a 1 in scope. MFG from 1946 - 1948, it qualifies as an exceptional survivor. Many of these rifles have had stocks, barrels, and sights interchanged over time. This one is an original unaltered specimen with condition. Buyer pays shipping.
