For industry-leading safety, shooters cock this micro-rimfire rifle by lifting the bolt and unload without pulling the trigger. The bolt can be cycled for loading and unloading with the manual safety engaged. The Rascal single-shot rifle functions with Short, Long, and Long Rifle .22 rimfire cartridges. A windage- and elevation-adjustable peep sight and Savage's adjustable AccuTrigger® enables shooters to obtain exceptional accuracy. A lever mounted within the AccuTrigger body blocks the sear unless the trigger is intentionally pressed in the center, greatly minimizing the risk of accidental discharge. An oversize loading port facilitates feeding individual rounds into the chamber, and the overly large 2-stage safety switch enhances safety for young shooters.
