Description:
SALE PENDING - Winchester Model 1901 lever action 10 gage shotgun. This shotgun is fitted with a 32-inch full choke barrel. The blue finish is excellent, estimated at 90% + condition. There are a few scattered marks in the metal. The hammer shows slight case color. The steel buttplate shows the most loss of finish and it is very nice. There is no rust on this gun. The wood has been cleaned in the past and shows a gouge on the right cheek of the buttstock (pictured). There are no cracks, chips or other wear to the wood and it is still slightly proud of the metal at all contact points. This gun was in the same family from new until I acquired it. It was manufactured in 1903 and is in original condition. The seller used to hunt turkey with this gun – he said it was a real hammer.
