The serial number of this second generation revolver is: 14316SA; manufactured in 1957. Gun is fitted with a 5 ½-inch barrel; bore is bright and shiny. Original grips are in excellent condition. Bright nickel finish is deep and lustrous. There is an area of nickel loss - restricted to the grip frame: in and around the trigger guard, on the butt, on the backstrap and frontstrap. Loss is most-evident where the grip frame is mounted to the frame. This is represented in the listing photos. It appears that this gun suffered from poor storage at some point. The nickel has flaked in these noted areas, however there is no rust. Despite this detraction, the gun still looks great and would make a fine collectable. The gun shows no evidence of having been fired much or carried. Please review the pictures to assess condition and contact me with questions.
