Bringing the age of the AR-15 into a new era of technology, the Plum Crazy Gen 2 AR-15 features a polymer upper and lower, bring both weight and cost down. As polymer has increased its market share in the gun world, being a staple for most handguns and PCCs these days, it stands to reason that it was only a matter of time before the AR would fall into the same fate. With stronger polymers and re-enforced designs, the plastic rifle is finally taking its place on the line.
The polymer construction is utilized for the upper, lower, trigger, dust cover, and top rail. The rifle also features a metal free-float handguard with M-Lok slots, an A2 birdcage flash hider, a carbine length gas system, a 1:8 twist 5.56 barrel, and one 60-round Schmeisser windowed magazine is included.
