We normally ship USPS Priority Mail which should be 2-day ship. Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. Shipping insurance is available upon request for an extra fee. We cannot do international sales. As of November 2019, we no longer ship guns to California and Hawaii.

Description:
The XD is one of the most popular pistols on the market. Many people like them for how well the shoot and their reliability. The XD-40 and its variants were Springfield’s original answer to the Glock G22/G23. It holds 12 rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber. It has a 4-inch hammer forged barrel and Tru Dot Night Sights. Like all Springfield XD pistols, it has a grip safety, much like the Colt 1911. The bilateral magazine release means one can switch their pistol between hands and not have to worry about changing mags in a crisis situation. The stainless steel slide and polymer frame offer excellent environmental resistance. The frame has a short rail for mounting an optic or flashlight. This XD-40 is in very good shape. There is some wear of the finish on the barrel. This is common to almost any semi-automatic pistol. There are also some small marks on the left side of the slide to the rear of the slide-stop notch. The night sights are not as bright when they left the factory but are still visible in the dark. The pistol comes with the case, cleaning brush, and manual. There is also a very nice Fire Dragon 9mm conversion barrel. Like the factory slide, it is made of stainless steel. This is useful for practicing on the range given current pricing of 9mm ammunition compared to .40 S&W. There are two spare, factory 16-round magazines for use with the 9mm barrel. The XD 40 would be suitable for home defense or a backpacking/woods gun.
