Description:
Very rare Winchester model 777 in .270 Win. This model was specifically made for the European and Australia market. Production was only for about a year in 1979-80. Very few, possibly as few as 4 (3 were imported by Winchester), have been known to show up here in the United States. A rather fancy gun with some scroll work on the receiver and floor plate These were made with more of a Weatherby/Golden Eagle look than a Winchester. Fine looking rifle. This one retains most of all its blueing with some wear at the muzzle and floor plate. Slight wear on the bolt handle. The stock has a few light handleing marks on the right side, above the trigger. Right hand palm swell. If you have a Winchester collection, this would be one of the rarest guns you could get! .270 Winchester
