This is one of the rarest swords to be collected AMES MODEL 1833 DRAGOON OFFICERS MODEL, DATED 1835 ,The blade is lightly marked , and is readable ,this one has the original scabbard an one of the two split carry rings ordennce on the drag. The scabbard has the original finish used on this model ,and the original leather grip is in amazing shape for this sword ,with the original wire. The blade is bright, with an extrmely tiny edge nip that would be easy to buff out .One like this does not come along often and still all in original period condition. On the quillion is ORD.
