Description:
This gun is a custom Savage 99.It was built by Wayne Schwartz it Mi. The action was polished ane blued.The magizine is a brass rotory that loads from the top and holds five rounds.The lever is a straight loop style.The wood is straight grain maple and polished to a good shine.The stock has a cheek rest for a right hand shooter.The lenght of pull is 12 3/4". It has a through bolt for strenght.The forearm is a Manlicker type that goes from the receiver to the end of the barrel and has a Schnabel tip. The bore and chamber is for a .225 Winchester.The .225 was made for Winchester to do away with the .220 Swift..becauce of heavy bore wear. The .225 was just a little slower than the .220 Swift.Remington brought out the 22-250 to compaire with the .225...225 ammo can be bought new or loaded with sized 30-30 brass.I used this gun for crows,wood chucks,deer,and prairie dogs.The scope is a Weaver K8 with a double cross hair range finder reticle.It is mounted on a Williame mount.The gun weights 12#8oz.I am selling it because I am 87 years old.and don't shoot any more.I hope the buyer has as much fun as I did.
