Description:
Serial #1020108, .45 ACP, 5" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1943-made pistol that has a wartime, "HS"-marked High Standard barrel, and retains 80-85% of an arsenal refurbished parkerized finish that has silvered along the high and exposed edges. Additionally, there is some mottled, plum-brown freckling along the top radius of the slide forward of the ejection port, and some further freckling along the sides of the slide near the muzzle. There are bright metal scratches on the frame beneath the slide lever, and the lever, safety, and magazine release have an added Du-Lite blue finish with an area of mild pitting on the lower edge of the slide lever. The "P" proofs and "FJA" inspector stamps are still crisp and clear, as is the "RIA" arsenal refurbish stamp on the right side of the frame. The checkered brown Keyes Fiber Co. grips are in very good condition with only minor flattening of the points, as well as a single area of surface wear around the lower screw bolster on the right panel. A single "S"-marked Scovill-made magazine is included. This is a great looking arsenal reworked 1911A1, and is in very good-near fine condition overall. FFL or C&R
