Payment Types Accepted: Money order, certified cheque About Us: I am an individual who is retiring and starting the Swedish Death Sale (downsizing) - to roam around in my Airstream during my autumn years until I can't anymore. My kids have enough firearms and don't want more, so... I am selling all of them except my SxS. Description: This rifle is a tack driver and elk slayer! Very sorry to see this one go. Yeah, it's heavy, and I have lugged it miles in snow covered CO mountians stalking elk once I glassed them. Longest harvesting shot was 527 yards. Dropped it with one shot. Please note I have a lot of new Remington brass still in the bag and reloading dies - INCLUDED! Similar to .338 Lapua but NOT the same. You may have heard this caliber is extinct and you may also have heard this caLiber has a dedicated following in the Rockies. Not extinct and definitely has a devout following. What an amazing rifle!!! This rifle has a very nice custom 1-piece grade 4 walnut hogback stock with an internal shock absorber, Bavarian cheek piece, pistol grip and Schnabel fore end by Red Desert Custom Rifles in WY. The pistol grip and Schnabel fore end have ebony caps. The custom beautiful checkering was done by Sherry Abraham in OR, formerly of Nosler . The barrel is 26" long with a 1:10 twist rate and with a muzzle brake. Rifle SN: 6640978. The scope is a steel Kahles Helia S 3-12x56 25.4mm tube and a #4A reticule. Bought new in Munich in 1989. Scope SN: 383095. The scope mounts are Weatherby Mark V pivot mounts - under license from Ernst Appel Wurzburg (EAW) pivot mounts, and yes, the scope returns to zero every time it is removed for travel! Includes the custom Allen soft carrying case, original bikini scope cover and Galco braided leather sling. As with all my bolt guns, I endeavour to reload to get <1MOA groupings. My proven loads: Speer 225gr BTSP, COAL 3.600", RL22, 91gr, .50 MOA - for practice. Barnes Accubond 225gr white tipped, COAL 3.600", RL22, 91gr, .50 MOA - for hunting. Please be aware, I can load 48 rounds out of 1 lb of pounder. This is a poweder hog of a large casing and launches this load at 3,200 fps of muzzle velocity. Very flat shooting for reaching out and touching whatever is out there. As you can see, it is very accurate. I have put around 125 rounds through this rifle since owning it. I bought it new around 2013 and have lovingly taken care of it. The recoil is very manageable with the shock absorber and muzzle brake, but this is a large, long and heavy rifle. There are slight handling marks on the rifle and scope. I took a scope off a different rifle I have to mount on this one. I am ex military and break in / clean barrels of all my guns for accuracy as marksmanship is a passion for me. PLEASE NOTE: I prefer we talk on the phone about the rifle, scope and mounts before you commit to buying it. Maybe we could video conference over Zoom or WhatsApp to answer any questions and show a live video relative to your questions. I'd like to ensure you are aware of what you are buying before you buy it to avoid a return please. Please see my other bolt and lever guns as I get them listed.
